My fifth grade aliens received quite a surprise today. Coded messages from sixth grade Earthlings AND slime! The kids are having such a great time decoding the replies. Thanks Mrs Ogden and sixth grade science!

Students had their first fine dining experience at Eat-Z-Bug. They started off with mealworm and bamboo worm appetizers followed by a buffet of termites, ants, crickets, grasshoppers, sago worms, dung beetles, and June Beetles. After dinner desserts included cricket flour chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered super worms, and Chirps Chips washed down with a healthy sip of bug-a-poop tea. What faces! Today students spent some time in the MILL researching the topic of entomophagy to follow up on last week's Scholastic Scope article "Would You Eat This?" After conducting research today, students will participate in our bug eating experience tomorrow. |
